Male and Female players required for 2012

Training for Men Senior Teams to commence on Wednesday 4th January 2012 starting at 6:15pm sharp (so get there earlier).

Training each Wednesday this month (11th and 18th January) then a 2 week session on the 24th & 25th January and after that sessions move back to Tuesdays and Thursdays from then on (each session all starting at 6:15pm sharp).

ALBURY HOTSPURS MAIN REGISTRATION DAY will take place on SUNDAY 5TH FEBRUARY at ALOYSIUS PARK - SOUTH ALBURY

Between 10:00am and 12 NOON

NB. A second registration day will be held on Wednesday 15th February 6pm to 7pm at Aloysius Park for those who cannot make the main day.

AWFA Cup Finals.

Albury Hotspurs hopes of bringing home a cup winner rested on the shoulders of the Reserve Women who faced Wangaratta at Jelbart Park.

The Spurs Ladies started off very well with a few chances but were unable to get a decent shot on to trouble the keeper. There was a huge gust of wind blowing which gave the team with the wind a huge advantage but both teams couldn't make the most of it.

With the scores deadlocked 0-0 at full time, we went into golden goal extra time. In the first breakaway of the game, the Wangaratta forward got through the defensive line and claimly slotted it past the keeper to give her side the Cup.

It was a fantastic effort by our girls who dominaed for the majority of the match and it was a cruel way for the game to end.

The Hotspurs club draw is now online. Just click on the draw link. Night matches only for the Seniors and Reserves on Wednesday nights, Ladies and Thirds teams on Thursday nights. Changes to the night matches are yet to be confirmed.
