A great goal from Robert Tuksar put the Senior Spurs in a promising position but they were unable to consolidate. It is time to get back to the basics of good soccer, great teamwork and fun.

Reserves - won 3-0 Sponsored by Soden'sThe Reserves had a promising wine against Wangaratta, producing some excellent patches of play. Jarrod and Welshy combined well for the first goal. Al got the second from a penalty and Wrighty sealed victory with a brilliant shot off the left boot. Well played team.

Ladies - drew 1-1Another disappointing performance from the Ladies. More players are needed on the day and it would be helpful if players could let the coach know if they cannot attend a game.

Thirds - won 2-0 (forfeit)Under 16 girls - won 5-0After a slow start, possibly because eight players were in Melbourne the day before on representative duty, the team played good, team soccer to have a comfortable win. Outstanding performances from Kristy Gillespie, Hayley Natasajevic, Katrina Smith and Liz Aitken were a feature but all players made a valuable contribution.

Under 14s - lost 0-4The team played well in patches and showed what they can do. Let’s play the whole game next week. Good games from Tom, Matt and Jarrod. NB: The referee was excellentUnder 13s - lost 0-4The young Spurs played a good game with a strong performance against the top side. Nick, Brendan, Hugh and Heath worked very hard. Under 11s - lost 0-2Unfortunately we were off our game on Sunday. It was pleasing to see the team continue to try hard. Kristy was our best player. Better luck next week.Under 9s - lost 0-5The team let four goals get past them in the first half and played a better game in the second to concede only one, which was from a penalty, so was a much better effort. Best players Johnny, Jarrod and Kye.Under 15s did not play.
