Great goal!!!
Normally seen facing the goals this way, Hotspurs goalkeeper Peter Gunning scored the first goal of his long and distinguished career on Sunday against Myrtleford. Taking the penalty in the final minutes of the game, Gunning neatly slotted the pill to take the scoreline to 6-0.He also made a few saves, and a few sprints, at the other end of the park. Despite only being 1-0 up at half-time, Spurs came out firing in the second with Darrel Mills (2), Rhys Zalfelds, Paul Ianotta and Kelvin Davies all scoring. Well done, too, to Eliot Jones and Ryan Giles for their good performances in the second half, Eliot almost adding to the scoreline.
Seniors v Myrtleford - won 6-0
Reserves v Myrtleford - won 2-1 Sponsored by SodensThe scoreline didn’t reflect the quality of play we exhibited. Great to see a lot of support off the ball and some excellent on-touch passing. We just needed to apply this to our play more consistently. Let’s look forward to a win against St Pat’s next week.

Under 16 Girls v Myrtleford - won 3-0A great effort from a team of 10. It was very disappointing that three players failed to inform either the coach or manager that they are unavailable. Congratulations to the 10 who played hard to earn the victory.
Under 15s v Myrtleford - won 3-1A tough first half which saw us score thanks to a Johnny Belgre special. A lapse in concentration by our defence saw Myrtleford equalise and we went to the break 1-1. The second half started in similar fashion but as the end grew near the desire to win saw us score two team goals, finished by Ben Holt. Great games to Jarrod Gillespie, Tom Carrie, Johnny Belgre and Tom Crossley. Congratulations on becoming league champions.
