Newsletter No.2 – April 4th 2005
GREAT START to
the new season against the strong Diamonds club.
Our TEN and ELEVENS played really well to score 4-0 and
5-1 victories. Coach Wright and fill –in coach O’Riordan were delighted with the great team soccer on
display. Our TWELVES went down 0-1 and were a little unlucky. The THIRTEENS
also lost a close game 1-2 and will improve this week. The FIFTEENS played in
an exciting 2-2 Draw while the THIRDS scored in the last minute to snatch a
good 2-1 win. The RESERVES were outstanding recording an impressive 3-1
victory. The SENIORS led three times only to be pegged back in the last minute
to have a 3-3 draw with the championship favourites.

CONGRATULATIONS To MARK HARRISON who had a big day on
Sunday. He was appointed captain and led the RESERVES to their good win. He then
came on in SENIORS to play his 100th senior game. Then he won Man of
the Match and spilled the mug all over his top. Well done, Harro.
CLUB FUNCTION
Our first function at
SODENS HOTEL on Sunday evening went really well. Over 70 people had a great
meal. The meat was supplied by Simon O’Neill from the TANGAMBALANGA BUTCHERY.
