Seniors v Myrtleford won 5-2

The fab five continues. We didn’t play great, suffering from FA Cup hangover, we were a little shaky but still worked hard enough to get the win with another five goals. However we did concede 2 goals, which wasn’t pleasing. Nat had a great game in goals, Bones and Brett did a power of work and Robert was outstanding considering he had a big Saturday night out at the Termo. Thanks to Brendan for sending him home. Keep up the good work and maybe there will be trophies for us to win at the end of the season.

Reserves v Myrtleford drew 3-3.The Reserves report will be on the web page later in the week.

Under 14s v Myrtleford won 2-1

Great game girls and boys. Bad luck, Pat, Nathen, Damien, Amy, and Georgia for tries at goals. Goals scored by Josh and Amy.

Under 11s v Myrtleford won 5-1

Thank you to the parents who helped set up the grounds. I would say a special thank you to Heather Foden, Kevin Briggs and Jeff Raison for coaching the kids while Will Mollison was on holidays.

Great game girls and boys. Bad luck to Shannon, Rick, Aras, Caleb for trying to score. Great goal keeping Jarrod, Daniel good sweeping. Goals scored by Ricky 2, Caleb 2 and Aras. Remember chocolate drive to be in 20th May.

If anyone requires meat try "O’Neill’s Butchers" in Kiewa.

Under 9s Hotspurs Black v Diamonds won 2-0

Hotspurs Black played Diamonds and most of the game was spent in their half. We kept their defence on their toes nearly all the match, Tyler Windham was unlucky not to score in the first half, their keeper made a brilliant save. This game showed what our forwards can do with some good passing. When we needed to defend, Phillip Robbie was there with some good running. We ended up winning the match two goals to nil with Robert Gentle scoring in the first half and Sam Gunning making sure with a second in the last moments of the match.

Under 9s Hotspurs Black v Hotspurs Gold lost 0-7 (last weeks report)

Hotspurs Black played Hotspurs Gold and what a game it was! The team showed what a brilliant defence we have. Both the goal keepers Sam Cronin in the first half and Blake Schroeter in the second half made some really good saves which helped keep the match more even. There were a few tense moments for the Gold team when our forwards broke through their defence to attack. The Gold team were the winners on the day but next time, "Look out".

Ladies v Myrtleford won 6-0, Thirds v Myrtleford won 2-1, Under 18 Girls v TCW lost 0-3, Under 15s v Melrose Lost 1-16, Under 13s v Myrtleford lost 0-3, Under 10s v Myrtleford won 8-0, Under 9s Hotspurs Gold v Albury City won 6-0
