Hotspurs v SS&A
Seniors won 2-0
Not a very good performance from us but good enough on the day to get the win due to excellent defence. Goals to Robert Tuksar and Ryan Giles.
Senior Ladies lost 0-2
Overall a good game. The girls fought hard but unfortunately they couldn’t hold out in defence long enough. It was a good performance from the girls. They were extremely unlucky to go down 2-0.
Thirds won 2-0
Sensational opening 10 minutes with goals to Elliot and Matt, both magnificent shots. After the start however our intencity dropped and in the second half we hardly bothered their goalie. Outstanding defence from the two Nicks (Harris and Chapman). Others to shine were Josh, Ryan, Elliot, Matt and Nat. A tireless effort from Mr Reliable, Pete Milton.
Under 14s lost 0-6
A great team performance, the defence was excellent. Well done Rhys, Phil, Daniel and Rodney. Let’s get a win soon.
Under 13s lost 1-6
Came up against a tough side. Great games from Joshua, Peter, Amy and Patrick.
Under 12s lost1-2
This team obviously missed the quality coaching of Peter O’Riordan. Better luck next time .
Under 10s lost 1-8
We played really well against a strong side. Great goal by Caleb. Brad, Jessica and Jarrod played strong games.
Under 11s lost 0-2
A disappointing performance because we can play better. Let’s do it next week. Todd, Matt and Glen had fine games.
Under 9’s won 4-1
Good winning effort by the team, finding the net on four occasions thanks to Tim. Good setup play by Shaun and Daniel to get the ball to Tim. Best players, Tim, Jason and Ryan. We play SS&A next game, which should promote us up the ladder to third position which is a great effort.
Night matches against Diamonds
Senior Ladies won 3-0
Great result overcoming last year’s Grand Final defeat 3-0 against an under-strength Diamonds. Goals to Katrina and Amy and one own goal. Strong games from Katrina returning up front, Narelle and Vanessa at the back and Ellen on the left. A clean sheet for Allison’s first game in goals. Well done.
Thirds won 2-1
A tough match, the hardest to date and one which showed the division is not an easy one. Good to have Rhys back to help out. Strong defence again kept our unbeaten record. Bad luck to Nick Chapman who suffered a knee injury. The team and the club wish Nick well in his recovery. Thanks to Ben for his efforts while home.
