Seniors v Myrtleford won 2-0 (Saturday)
Still not playing that well at the moment. We tend to turn over possession much too often. The first goal came midway in the first half when Robert Tuksar turn his man inside out and toe-poked a shot that was blocked by the Mrytleford keeper into the path of Paul Rago who scored the goal showing his excellent ball skills. Myrtleford played well, pushing forward and creating chances that we snuffed out in defence or by Peter Gunning denying any shots past him. Jarrod Parsons came off the bench and headed home the clincher that we so desperately needed.
Seniors v Wangaratta won 2-1
With four players out from Saturdays game and having to backup two days in a row this was going to be a very tough match to get all three points. Young Nat Grey step up to fill the spot left by Peter Gunning who will be away for two more matches due to work commitments. Nat made some excellent saves and kept the tall Wangaratta side to only one goal, well done SUPER NAT. Ryan Giles, Jarrod Parsons and Brenden Munge also played full games and played very well running all game. We were first to score when Paul crossed for Tuksar to scoop the ball past their keeper. After half time Wang came out attacking and managed to put in a goal from a cross that was headed home from eight yards giving Nat no chance. Paul Rago came off with floppy leg syndrome and was replaced buy young Pete Milton who did very well and manage to get in behind the Wang defence before being brought down in the box wining us a penalty. Kelvin back taking the kicks put the Spurs in front again. There was some behind the scenes thuggery by one Wangaratta defender on Robert Tuksar that caused some tension and fired us up even more and we played out the game with desperate determination to hold onto our lead and win the game. Excellent TEAM effort buy the Spurs senior members which involved firsts, seconds and thirds players. Congratulations on a six pint weekend. The league title is getting closer to ours after every win, all the remaining games are equally as important. Go the Spurs.

Once again we scored first only to see Wang tie up the game in the second half. Once again we had by far more scoring shots go begging, with luck once again deserting us. Great goal by a Shaun cross and Tim finish, ten out of ten goals. Best players, Liam, Ben and Michael. Coaches best, Daniel, Jason and Kye in goal.
