Under 10s Hotspurs Gold v Myrtleford Savoy SC
We romped and we stomped at the Savoy but for all our outstanding team play the final goal tally was not in our favor, going down 2-3. All players played very well and I am very proud of you all.
One highlight was Dawson’s goal from distance, like Thor he hammered a thunderbolt shot that almost took Brodie’s head off before blasting into the back of the net.

Under 12’s V Twin City Lost 1 – 2
Under 12’s Girls V Twin City BYE
Under 13’s V Twin City Won 5 – 1
Under 14’s V Twin City Won 4 – 1
It was a drizzly morning at Kelly Park. After a quick Hotspurs goal soon after the first whistle (which many of the late-comers to the sideline missed completely), it was another somewhat slow first half. There were quite a few shots on goal..literally straight to the Twin City goalie, and quite a few that strayed wide and high. It was 1-0 at half time. In typical style, the second half saw the team play with more energy. There were some very entertaining passages of play and good passing which lead to 3 more goals- it could have been more were it not for the great reflexes and safe hands of the Twin City goalie. It was a solid result for the team who are set to head into the finals near the top of the table.
Under 14’s V Twin City Won 4 – 1 (Report 2)
What a great game in very trying, wet and slippery conditions. Our goals came from some nice passages of play. Felix picked up the ball in the midfield who passed to Bahgat then to Wendell who scored. Felix scored our second, Bryce passed to Jaspa who scored our third and a passage of play between Kye and Wendell that resulted in our fourth. Scott gave sound direction from goals and the support by the back line was always dependable. Goals: Wendell 2, Felix 1 and Jaspa 1. Coach awards: Harry, Bryce and Baghat

Under 16’s V Twin City Lost 1 – 3
Under 17’s Girls V Twin City BYE
Third’s V Twin City Lost 0 – 4
A depleted thirds team put a brave fight against the top team. With no substitutes and four under 16 backing up the game was very close until the Spurs started to tire near the end of the game. Special thanks to Subash, Matthew Clark, Sean McDonald and Will Heath who played a full game after playing Sixteens. Indra, Joel, Hamish, Ben and Sajit all had top games for Hotspurs.

Reserves V Twin City Lost 1 – 7
The Reserves struggled in the first half against a good side. After being down 1-6 at the break the team lifted to be much more competitive in the second half. Mick Corkett got a good goal. Joel was terrific in goals and Viders and Milky played well.
Ladies V Twin City Draw 3 – 3
Seniors V Twin City Lost 1 – 10
This game turned into a nightmare against the League champions. After a solid first half our opponents took advantage of every opportunity to score some impressive goals. Highlight for Spurs was a great thirty metre goal from Jon Cochrane. Best to forget this game and look forward to getting a result next week.
